it is...... that is what going internal will do for me and the aeb head........ you will/should have very similar hp/tq #'s....... i might be closer to the 350-375 awhp, but will be more into the 400-450 tq #'s hopefully........ there really isn't anyone in stl for me to talk to about this...... so when the money is there i will start hitting up people and finding out where i wanna go with what i wanna make the car into........ if it is a dd it will be less if it is a fun car it will be more

tell me about it....... turbo and clutch are both on the way out

and i don't wanna do it twice....... worst case senario is i get a smaller upgrade and sell that stuff (turbo/manifold) when i get the new....... clutch will be stage 5 sb though...... no matter what......... cause i am not doing 2 clutches........ i could even go k04 and run my ko3 fueling and tune or upgrade fueling and stay on my ko3 tune

then run water/meth and up the boost

It says the difference in power right in the title...no wonder the S4 is winning.

*Flame suit on*

B5 S4s are overrated. Even if a BT A4 just barely hangs with a Stage 3 S4, it still costs the A4 driver half as much to build his 4-cylinder up to that level of performance as the S4 driver, while still having a fairly reliable, fuel-efficient car. And he doesn't think he's God almighty afterward. The B5 S4 is the epitome of Audi's unreliability.

Please don't take offense to this, Tyler; you're still a BAMF.

never said the vid featured a 'fair' race, just thought it was a cool vid.. sry for the misunderstanding.

and as for your opinion on B5 S4's, Ive owned both the 2.7t and the 1.8t and the 1.8t isnt the most reliable motor either, both have equal amount of flaws just different flaws.. im not raggin on the 1.8t at all, its just about preference and knowledge... but to each his own.

Also both are decently fuel efficient if drivin the right way, and if you looking to build a car i think fuel efficiency isnt really a big factor unless its a dd

So is your car your daily driver?

And no, the 1.8T isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the 2.7T.

"The B5 S4 is the epitome of Audi's unreliability."

Yeah, but thats the risk you take I guess. I just like the sounds the v6 makes better than the 4, and to me, sound has a lot to do with fun driving experience. Even though you will spend more money and probably have more issues too. O well, I guess its like having an Italian car, lol. "Built with passion and soul." -Clarkson

And the ego thing comes with a lot of cars, I think its more dependent on the person. Maybe I'm dreaming on that one...

no i use a work truck for a dd, plus i got my girls jeep.

Im gonna have to agree with ya one it bein alittle cheaper. but thats why i bought this car cuz it already has those expensive parts replaced with much better ones. dont get me wrong, i know something could go wrong still, but im prepared for that. I wouldnt buy the car if i didnt think i could afford it.
