ok, so everyone knows my car will be going under the knife when i have the funds, time and a second car... but here is my second car thoughts........

i am looking to buy only an avant/wagon

1st choice audi a4/a6(all-road) 1.8-2.7
2nd choice volvo c/x 70 preferable turbo car
3rd choice bmw 3/5 series... preferable 25-30
4th choice vw jetta/passat 1.8 or vr6... i don't think they make a "regular" like 2.0 or 2.5 4motion car preferably

to keep in mind is a scubby wagon preferably wrx.... but would do a turbo motor car from them........ this is kind of a tie for 4th with vw

not really in the running is a benz wagon



i am just putting this out there for giggles....as i am not really taking "opinions"..... but more for you guys to keep an eye out for me i guess.......looking to possible pay cash or do a 1 yr finance


reason audi a4 is 1st, cause i would love an 01 that i could swap in a freshly rebuilt motor with a bat turbo into it(from my car)...then put that motor in my car

 

Actually, I like the Passat. It shares all its running gear with the A4 and A6. So, a 1.8T Passat, would be like an A4 with more room, or an A6 with better gas mllage. Plus, the B5.5s, 01.5 to 05, came with the 1.8T and 4 motion. Then, theres always the 30v 2.8.
You cant get any Jettas with 4 motion here...

 

but you get the concept i am going for....... straight engine swap + style... for audi

style for the others....

vw is a last thought.... don't try to sell me a **** box as a diamond...lol

 

Really, what makes you think the Passat is a **** box? We had a 00 1.8T 5 spd wagon, indigo blue with grey leather. My mom tinted the windows and bought the BBSs for it, the ones I have. And seriousky, she chose it OVER a 1.8T A4 Avant. Same quality, still good looking, same performance, and more room. It was a great car, traded at 100k cause my dad didnt feel like putting a clutch in it. My A6 has had more issues thn her car did.
But IMHO, the Passat would be way before the Volvo, close with the Bimmers, and behind the Audi. I really dislike the mk4 Jetta wagons... The back is too big for the front.
