wiper fluid leak

wiper fluid leak
hopefully a simple problem for my first post!
just bought my first audi ('01 a4 1.8tq) and my 'wiper fluid' iconstarted blinking...
sure enough, i was out of fluid. poured some more in the reservoir and the fluid starts leaking out under the bottle drivers side!
i suspect that the driver's side headlight washer jet is to blame. jacked it up and went under...pretty crowded in that corner, but the reservoir looks in tact...no cracks
anyone experience a similar problem?
was it a hose leak, or where the hose connects to the reservoir, etc?
and maybe this is asking for too much, but some kind of 'wiper fluid diagram' would be awesome! hehe
thanks

RE: wiper fluid leak
Yea, I am having the same problem with my 99 1.8T A4. I havent looked into it, but I noticed when I poured water and fluid in it immediately just started leaking. Is there a hose that I should check out? I thought maybe it might be cracked.

RE: wiper fluid leak
I'm having a similar probem with my Allroad and it requires the replacement of the headlight washer unit. Yes it is crowded under there, in fact the bumper has to be removed in the case of the Allroad. My A4 has more room to work in but I wouldn't be suprised if that bumper has to come off, too.
I was able to slip my hand into a space where I could check the bottom of the unit for leakage and sure enought that's where the leak is. Generally the crimped hose clamps don't come loose. Good Luck.
