Default What is this part called?

I do not maintain to know anything about the more intricate parts of an Audi engine so I bring this to the experts.

2003, Audi A6, 4.2.

Car seems to be running fine. No codes etc.
However, I asked mechanic what this was. He said it needed a repair kit for the adjuster (some vacuum) terminology or something. Said it ran around $340. typical for audi. I trust the guy, but don't want to pay that if I can help it. Seems like a simple snap the old arm off, snap the new one on, but I am sure I am wrong. From the pics, you can tell that all it needs is the little plastic arm. one of them is shown in red as intact. the one in yellow is broken near the end. The other end is obscured by its twin (in red). They attach to what seems to be an expandable gasket of some sort.
Can anyone identify this and if so, recommendations of where I might order it. I am fine taking it off of a salvage car as well.
Thanks in Advance,
Tom

I am not sure, Railrunner, let's bump this to the top and see if we have any guesses.

thanks for looking.
It's directly in front center of the engine. the two plastic arms connect to similar rubber expanding diaphragms (for lack of a better word). One is on the right and one on the left. If you look, you will see the one in the red circle is intact and the one in the yellow is broken and hanging down. I am assuming they regulate the flow of something given that the rubber diaphragm easily expands (think, accordion) You can see it well in the second picture. I guess I will run it into a dealer and ask service tech to name it.

Its to activate the intake runner length flaps, unfortunately audi doesn't sell it seperately from the intake manifold. I would try and JB weld that ****** back on before i would spend $2,000 on an intake manifold.

Thanks guys. So I understand there is a repair kit for 300 bucks. Regardless, I am going first with JB weld as I use that **** on many things. Then, it's off to the salvage yards. weird thing is that it is running fine. (maybe not perfect) but it has 100k miles on it. No codes thrown either. Does it affect low or high end torque or what?
