JOnJOn, depending on your model/ year and what else is done, T/B replacement can run you $ 750 - 1200. It's not cheap to do this on an Audi.
KSochalski, I'm just curious, do you have a program that you punch in a VIN and it spits out an estimate for a specific repair ? ? My indie mech gives me an estimate based on the year, model and engine size (and of course Quattro or not).

yeah, its called being an audi tech.. haha..
thats not a tough job. that video you watch was a rear wheel drive like 4.2 or something. your 1.8 is easy. you dont even need a lift. just a good jack, and a couple of jack stands. you dont even need any special tools really. were you planing on doing it yourself, or did you just want to know how much it should cost?
