I received a reply to the question on cockpit fuel odors from another forum. The fellow told me he had the problem and it turned out to be the GAS CAP! The cap was venting and the fuel odors were trapped inside the car. A new cap fixed his problem. I haven't bought a new cap yet - next week, maybe.

gas cap?? I doubt it that's external fuel line leak I recon or over fueling and blocked air filter
