Question about Initial Allowed speed for new Cars ?
Hi All
When i went to take my new Audi A6 from the dealer i asked about the recommended speed that i need to stick to tell i break in the Motor, they told me that this is history and these engines are pre tuned in the factory so there is no such initial speed. .
Is this correct and if i drove like 100MPH from the first day what harm could happen to the engine. please advise

Perhaps the new ones don't need to be broken-in (the dealer said so, right??), but my '99 owner's manual suggested i drive at appropriate speeds and acceleration for 5000 miles.
If the dealer says that you can do whatever you want, then do it. You're under warranty well past 5K anyhoo.
Audi has always been known for having amazing engines so going 100mph wouldn't do anything anyway (100mph isn't that fast), just enjoy your car!
