Pick Up Tube Replacement guide?
I am dealing with a red oil light on my 2002 A4 1.8t Quattro and I am thinking it is the common sludge issue I've heard so much about. I have all the maintenance records for the car since the guy before me bought it new and all maintenance has been performed by Audi. The records though, end at about 115k and the car has 130k now. I think it may have been neglected for the past 15k but I'm not sure. I want to do the work myself as I have plenty of tools and am technically inclined enough to do so. I'd like to find a good guide or set of instructions on doing so. I don't just want to tear into it without any knowledge about what I'm getting into. I'll also be doing this without a lift so.. yea it's not going to be fun...
On a side note, I get a lot of movement in my shifter in second gear. It feels as if there is an transmission mount that needs to be replaced but it doesn't persist through all gears. Any ideas on that?
