Lately, when I'm driving my car makes a noise like theres a nail in the tire. The tires have each been taken off the car and been inspected for nails and nothing. I also checked underneath to see if maybe there was something loose but nothing. Also put air in the tires and it still manages to make this noise... The noise kinda sounds like that riveted gravel on the break down lanes to wake ur *** up but not *** loud. Can anyone help me out with this mystery noise? Its driving me nuts!! (turning up the stereo only helps for so long too)

 

have you checked the clips on the c/v boots

would that be it though? I swear things are getting worse and worse for me and my car. Not only does it need a new tie rod end now something different? Ugh cant win!

 

sort the tie rod out first then see if the noise is still there

 

that noise is still there. i'm running out of ideas.

 

check the wheel bearing, that may be it.
