NEED INSIGHT On my new 09 A4 1.8T Q
I'm new to this forum, used to just read it back in the day because some posts were amusing and most were filled with people who understood a lot about cars.
In 2005 I finally had my dream of being an Audi owner fullfilled with my first job after college. It was an Audi, however it was a no leather, no electric seat, base model 1.8T front wheel drive. I didn't care though, it looked good and drove GREAT. It had 34k on it and I drove it for 7 good years (96k). I got to know the car as I did the oil changes (only synthetic), air filter, fuse replacement, wheels, bulbs etc... I never did any major fixes and after the 50,000mile dealership dream was over I never brought it back ($$$) I never had a single problem with the car. Recently a friend in the business of dealing cars came across a nice 2009 2.0T A4 (Quattro) 63,000 miles. I decided it was time to move on, sold the 03 and bought the 09 I got a hell of a deal). Clean tittle, good car fax, car is 2 owner before me and well maitained. It has no issues, warning lights etc... (It doesn't have a dip stick but I guess audi did that).
This car is a lot more techincal then the 03 and I want to start off on the right foot. Should I take it to the dealer for 75k maintenance? I'm having trouble pulling the trigger because I never did anything for the 03 and it never skipped a beat. I'm looking for some knowledge. I want the car to last but I would also like to avoid the absurd prices at the Audi dealer like I did for the 03.
Thanks and I apologize for length, poor grammer or general newbness on the posting.
PS.. the 03 was lowered, the 09 is not, SPEED BUMBS can now kiss my ***! Vermont is no place for a lowered car
