Default Mystery Connector 2001.5 A6 2.7T 6 Speed

I broke the connector encircled in red when I replaced my Auxiliary Water Pump. The part numbers for the male and female parts of the connecter only reveal that it is a 2-pin multipurpose connecter used by Audi/VW.

The connector is located on top of the engine on the driver's side of the throttle body just behind the driver's side diverter valve. It is next to the screw for bleeding air from the coolant system that is in the yellow box.

I would be most grateful if anyone can identify the name and purpose of the connector in question.

Many thanks in advance.

Is it the connector that supplies power and ground to the aux water pump? I know you said it broke when working in that area but knowing what the connector goes to is where I'm headed. Also, do you have the aux pump mounted in the relocated spot on the engine or is it still under the intake manifold? Also, look closely on the connector for a 9 digit part number. That makes it easy to find. I have a pump relocation kit and in looking at the harness that would plug into the connector where the pump used to be, that connector looks different than the one in your picture. But that's a small picture too. Also, would you need the male or female part of the connector?
