I'd like to thank A4 to Z for his link to the AOA letter. I have not received one. After reading it, I went to WalMart for an oil change. I was told they carry Mobil 1 0W-40. On the container is written "European Car Formula". My 1.8T took 4 quarts. They charge 31.58 plus tax. This includes an inexpensive Fram filter. They credit 1.88 if the customer provdes the filter.

Depends how much you love her
Mobile 1 Super Syn. (5-50W) It's expense for a reason.
Shell Helix (10 - 40W - i think) is slightly cheaper.
