no it isnt, where are you located? i keep a few in stock at my house for service customers, primarily timing belt customers. let me price out shipping, i think i pay 12-15 bucks for it and it is a factory approved oil additive and a fuel additive, they come together bundles in plastic. That oil additive really works well, i ran it in my tt for only 500 miles with red line oil and it came out pitch black. And no you dont have to change the oil after 500 miles with using it, i was doing another service that required draining the oil. ill send it to you for whatever it cost. Also for future refernce try to always run Shell V Power gasoline. That is audi factory fuel because of the detergents it uses. engines stay cleaner with shell.

Awesome, yea' I always try to use Chevron or Shell gas. There arent too many shell stations around here.

On the rear of the engine there are a bunch of vacuum lines. You can also try removing the flexalbe intake pipe that connects the airbox to the throttle body. The engine may not run very well with that much unmetered air thou. It might help if you unplug the maf. that should set the ecm to use a substitute value for the maf which should allow the engine to run better.
