Modifying ko3 or Ko4 internal wastegate washer
Hey everybody, been years since I’ve posted anything but thought this might come useful to some. I searched and couldn’t find much so I figured something out and thought I’d share.
Im changing the Catalitic converter when I noticed the washer on the internal wastegate flap/door was super loose with so much play I thought it might actually come off at some point and wanted to make sure it wouldn’t anytime soon. So I carefully pried the existing one off (didn’t put up much of a fight and went to The Home Depot to find a few 5/16” E-Clips. I was able to install two of them on there and the fit is perfect. Seems like a legit fix that cost me $0.80.
cheers!
