how to increase throttle response
I have a 2002 A4 automatic, there is a big time gap between when I hit the gas and whenI get power. Is there a pobablem with mine or is it just from the electronic gas pedal? How can i improve the throttle response?

RE: how to increase throttle response
Have you done a thottle body alignment? I believe your car is DBW, so you should see some results from that. Just turn your car to the on position (right before cranking the engine) and let it sit like that for a couple of minutes. You will be able to hear the throttle body aligning.

You only need to have a TB alignment done after you change the ECU or battery. Basically, you just turn the car on, but don't start it, & DO not hit the gas for 2min.
Not sure what engine you have in the A4, but getting a chip will really help throttle response, so will getting a new turbo back exhaust.
Another thing is to "Lemi" the car, you can increase timing a tad, & increase the idle load, so the TB opens up more for the first few inches of travel.

A TCD, will not help with throttle response at all. All it does is trick the ECU's MAP sensor into thinking there is less boost then what is really there.
