Help ... 06 A4 Sputtering

Unhappy Help ... 06 A4 Sputtering

i have no idea what going on with my car. i started the car lastnight and in started to sputter. when i step on the gas it literally feels like its going to die. the check engine light is flashing. i appreciate all the help and suggestions u guys can give me. im debating taking it to the dealer, but i am out of warranty by a few thousand miles.

Don't drive with a flashing CEL. It probably is
a misfire which will overheat the CAT.
If you're under warranty, have the dealer tow
it in.

any idea on how much this will run me, out of warranty. or can DIY ?

First replace the spark plugs. If that doesn't work,
replace the ignition coils.

I would recomend replacing the spark plugs but dont just go replacing coils. Do some sort of diag. to see if its the ignitor or a coil. check for codes and that will lead you to which cylinders to start with.

I appreciate the help guys ... Turns out that it was a coil. I changed all four and replaced my plugs.

Shes a happy camper again
