heater,climate control unit doesnt work
Can someone out there help me with my problems, I have an a3 1.8t 20v and my climate control unit will only work wen my headlights are on but it only blows heat for 10secs n goes back off and no matter what button I press nothing happens, if I turn my headlights off the heaters wont work at all. What can I do to solve this problem.
ive also got another problem but this is with my gearbox basically I carnt select 1st atall It wont even attempt to go in, it feels like the gearstick will brake first. so I went under the bonnet n got my brother to sit in the car to try n select 1st whilst I looked at the linkages, some how I managed to select 1st from the top of the gearbox and its saying its in 1st in the car even thou its stiff to pull out but it also wont go in by the gearstick WHYYYYYY???????
Another problem to my list is the coolant fans don't work at all n causes my car to overheat when sitting in traffic (doesn't help with my heater unit not working) ive disconnected the fans and put a direct live straight to It and the fans work so what could it be. all these little things are starting to do my head in so can someone helpppp.

You are going to need a scan tool capable of reading codes from your all systems on your car. If not everything will be a guess.
Ball is in your hands now!
