Has anyone experienced this?
Greetings,
The exterior push button locking on the left door handles have stopped working. The doors open to the touch of the handle, however the buttons do not respond to lock the vehicle.
I took it to the dealer and they are quoting over $1200 to replace and paint the front and rear handles.
I'm curious if any of you have seen this, and have had luck fixing outside of the dealers remedy...
Thanks

On this model the sensors are not available seperately like they are on the Q5. So you have to get the handles and have them painted as you now found out. I am not sure if there is a less expensive alternative. I'd need your vin number to figure out which handles you need but they are either 204.60 each, or 171.12 each and the same part number front or rear. Retail is either 275.00 or 230.00 dollars. We can even get them painted for you and them ship them out. If you provide the painted handles to an independant maybe you can save on labor too. I asked our guys here and there is no coding needed for the handles. Plug and play on that but the door panels have to come off to replace the outside handles.
