EPC woes, and solution!

RE: EPC woes!
Went back to the local tuning shop, so they could read the codes that disappeared.
Same story P1335, with the addition of the engine coolant temp sensor. Well I kinda knew about that one because it happens on cold starts.
Shop replaced the sensor, no biggie could have done it myself, but they had the part and the TT was already cool.
The sensor was blue which caught me by surprise. I always thunked ATC TT's had a green top sensor, guess that's not the case for the earlier 2000's.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get to AWE, and have them reflash me. Maybe it's just a corrupt file, or something easy.
*crosses fingers*

RE: EPC woes!
No the shop replaced the coolant temp sensor, sorry for the confusion.
I can get a gas peddle assembly from shokan, but moneys a little tight right now.
So my plan of action is this...
I'm hoping a reflash will do the trick, if not I'll ask them to remove the flash, and see if it makes a difference.
If there is no change and I still throw EPC and P1335 then I'll replace the pedal.
If there is a change with the file removed, then I will ask for my money back.
Now I'm just trying to do this the smart, and least expensive way.

RE: EPC woes!
ok WTF. That epc light and what came next scared the **** out of me. I was in traffic about to get on the freeway. the car stalled, I recranked and the epc light was on, accompanied with some noise coming from my belt. The next time i move the car hit 4k rpm and the boost started peaking and droping. I didnt catch how high but i saw my gauge bouncing up and down and figure it wasnt good. I pulled over and immediatly performed a throttle body alignment, a lucky guess, cuz the Epc light went away, and didnt come back on since yesterday. I read through this thread, and will be checking out a few things tomorrow.
ok let me confirm some things. A slipped belt could cause the epc light, due to improper voltage. throttle body being out of alignment can cause epc. so what elser
Can a bad dv cause epc
I recently replace PS hoses and pump ran with less then enough fluid. So could my PS pump be dying and slowing down the serpantine belt causing this?

bemor187: You'll probably have better luck if you start your own thread.
The solution to my EPC light and fault code P1335 seems to be a manual boost controller.
I didn't have much time to drive my car with the MBC installed (recently got into an accident).
But the boost was much smoother and it held steady at 15 PSI, instead of spiking to 21 PSI and quickly dropping off.
So to anyone else that may have their EPC light, fault code P1335, and a GIAC flash... Try a manual boost controller!
