Default engine mangement

Hi, i drive an 02, 1.6 audi a3 and i am having a few problems with it today. When i were accecarating, it felt like the car had lost power and the engine mangement light had come on. When i were slowing down (engine reving less than 2500 rpm) the light went off. it only seamed to come on when i were reving neer 3000 rpm. i have notaced it judder when it has been raining somtimes but are the two linked or is it something more serious?

Thanks for your help

its not wise to guess this one because it could be simple so just changing things could lead to over expense and things being change for no reason the code will lead you right to it or at least the issue

Hi, i have just scaned my car and the fault is saying "cylinder 3 missfireing" i hope its just a simple case so changing the spark plugs or ht leads. also when i were inspecting it, i notaced the oil breath pipe were split. iv fixed that but could this result in previous fault of "fuel trim bank 1 to lean"?? also i have not purchased a manual yet and when i were looking at the spark plugs, the inlet manifold conseals them making it hard to access. what is the bast way to getting to the plugs?

it could be plug lead or plug you need to remove the plastic cover to gain access to the plugs red arrows point to the bolts for the cover

just had a quick look at mine, there arnt any bolts located at them points, the whole thing is molded. there are a couple of torx screws to sperate the manifold from the other case. will i have to unbolt the manifold from the head?

it shouldn't need that much to remove plugs it has to be something in the way for a clear view of the plugs

Fuel trim lean, could be caused by a vacuum leak.

i have changed the plus with new ones and it is still running bad. the code has now changed to: 16687 - Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0303 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
For me to access them, i had to take of the inlet manifold which took ages. what will the possibilitys of them being the plugs or could it be the coil??

Please Help
