Default Driver seat problems in Audi A4

Hello all and thanks in advance for any replies.

Ive got an Audi A4 se 1.8 1999 model and the driver seat manual height changer on the right side of the seat seems broken.

Basically now the seat just bounces up and down while driving and the hight changer is loose, i.e does not engate to keep the seat at a certain height.

I can feel a bar is loose attacched to this handle but no more.

ANy idea whats this is likey to be and what to look at.

I have air bags in the seat so am aware I need to disconnect the batt before removing seat if i need to do this. Is that easy to do.

THanks in advance, Spence.

Default Re: Driver seat problems in Audi A4

Hi All, I can now see that the bar connect to the handle has sheered/snapped off. Any ideas on what I would need top repair this. I.e new seat or can you get the seat height mechinism its self.

Is it safe to drive like this or could this cause the air bags to be set off

THanks again.
