dead battery, won't unlock

i had to leave my 99 a4 locked for a month while i was working in isolation, came back today to find that the battery is dead and now the doors won't unlock. using the key manually won't work either. any thoughts?

turns out i was too careful with the key in the door. just had to turn a little harder. my bad.
