RE: Blow Off Valve
By removing you mean leave off?!? Or are you talking about replacing or making it an actual BOV?
Your question is not that clear. If you have a 240 using a certian Bypass or BOV you hould already know this answer.

RE: Blow Off Valve
i Mean completly removing the diverter valve?... In my 240 removing the bov allows for the fluttering sound to be made and increase performance of the turbo but, it leave the turbo more vulenerable to blow. I wanted to know if removing the valve for the audi would also create a fluttering sound?

RE: Blow Off Valve
I would not recommend the removing of the valve. It was placed there for a reason. What happens to all the compressed air that is not used once the TB is closed. That fluttering you hear could very well be compressor surge and that KILLS turbos. Plain and simple.
The flutter noise can be achieve through another type of Bypass. HKS makes this noise while keping the flutter noise you like. If they do not have an application for your car you can get a universal and find a way to use it.
