blinkers quit after a few flashes
Hi, I'm a poor 1998 Audi A6 owner. Every time I end up at the dealership its over $1000 so this time I was hoping to get some knowledge beforehand (or fix it myself). My blinkers (both left and right) quit flashing after a few flashes. The console on the front stops clicking and the lights stop going. At first they would go about 30 seconds or so before quitting, but it keeps getting worse. Now I'm lucky to get 2-3 out of them. Any ideas?

it could also be the hazard light relay sticking (try the hazards to see if they all work), if the indicators work then they don't its normally down to wiring heating up and caused by a bad ground

If the hazards work fine, it sounds like you need to replace the hazard relay switch. The turn signal relay is built into that part, and there's a DIY article that shows how to replace it.
I bought the part for $22.11 online, and a hook and pick set from Lowe's for $5 and replaced it in 5 minutes.
