hello! i have an Audi A4 B5 1998. It doesn’t start after getting wet or when it’s cold outside. u have to crank it for a long time but then it idles rough. sometimes the battery doesn’t have enough juice to start it (it’s a brand new battery). when i charge it and try again it starts after 10-15 min. when starting it smells extremely like gas and it backfires. the spark plugs are fine. it’s getting gas, the battery is not the problem. it starts sometimes completely fine. what could be the issue? could there be a sensor that’s broken? if so which sensor is it. and can it be unplugged and it would run just fine?
when starting and letting go of the key it tries to start and then fails. but doesn’t try to start when the key is turning the starter. battery in video was already dying, u can hear it in the end try to start when the key is back in the on position.
