audi a3 1.8t Stalls after every start.
hello folks, I am new around and I am a mechanics fan, I really hope someone can shed some light on this :/
I own a 2001 A3 AUM 1.8T, spark plugs are fairly new, new coil packs, new DV valve, new MAF and new PCV, all OEM.
Here is the deal, whenever the car starts for the first time, cold OR warm, after about 30 seconds it will start to stall, if the car is parked it will stall for as long as the canister valve starts making the ticking noise. At that very moment when the canister valve starts ticking the engine revs up a little and gets a total stable idle (the canister valve stays ticking from that point forward...).
the cycle repeats everytime I turn off the car and crank it up again.
If I start it up and hit the road, this stalling translates in loss of power, kindda the one you get like if the gas pedal was unresponsive, so if I keep some light cruice speed it will shortly turn to normal again... pretty sure the same described before is going on under the hood.
Also, whenever it stabilizes, and it is supposely running normally, Sometimes under hard load, letīs say a long heavy hill climb it seems to loose a little power so I normally take the foot off the pedal and press it again to try to get the power back.
There are no VAC leaks, turbo always boosts up (I can hear)..
No codes with the VAG COM other than the Bank one O2 sensor, seems to be gone. (17511 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1 S1 P1103 - 35-10 - Performance too Low - Intermittent)
Thanks in advance.
ivan.
