Allroad Drivetrain Vibration?
(Also posted on Allroad Thread)
I have an '03 Allroad, 2.7T, 6 speed with 130,000 miles. There is a distinct vibration in the drivetrain especially noticable when accerating from 3000RPM in 4th gear. The shifter visibly rocks/vibrates and you feel the vibration in the seat of the pants.
My independent Audi tech relaced the CV joints on each end of the driveshaft (he can do this without having to buy a new driveshaft from Audi), yet the problem remains. I considered the engine/tranny/subframe mounts but even with a modest amount of wear in these mounts there still shouldn't be this type of vibration (?).
Any ideas out there? Thanks.

try looking for a missing weight on the drive shaft it self. brake, tires and suspention can also make you vibrate.
also i am guessing your 1:1 gear is forth if this is true then it could be the torque converter. the clutch in it might be sliping. have you noticed poor fuel econemy?
