Airbag Fault after running Vag-Com

RE: Airbag Fault after running Vag-Com
Well its gotta be the module then if its not clearing, you could risk it and just keep driving with it who knows what itll do or not do... Kinda scary that it can be screwed up and not even turn on the light they could probably get sued for that too. You could check the measuring blocks and see if they look normal, not that itll tell you much about a failed module though. To answer your question about fixing it through VAG, you can recode the module to specify how many airbags it has and what not but not reflash it or anything that would fix it. I guess the last thing id do before replacing it is disconnecting the battery over night and then checking the codes and clearing it one more time otherwise theres probably not much more to do. (Sorry i didnt see that you had mensioned the light self tests in your first post i shoulda looked)

Sorry to hear that. Yeah you could leave it, i guess if it were me and i was gonna leave it for a while id pull the fuse or something id be kinda afraid it would randomly go off since the computer in there is screwed up but theres still a chance it might work ok to so idk i doubht that would happen anyway.
