Reset the code, and see if it returns.

i'd consult your dealer... cause there is a airbag fault out there w/ a malfunctioning control module that can randomly deploy all airbags at any moments notice.

its a pretty serious concern. i'm not too familar w/ years and models affected. but i know it to be a fact.

to be honest i dont want to consult my audi dealer, because i hate dealing with "the dealer", what would cause the airbag control module to have an internal memory error ? and why all of the suddden is the steering wheel airbag igniter intermittent ? i have not had any accident historyserious enough to even trigger the airbags. I really dont wanna go and buy a new control module, and steering wheel airbag thats a lot of money,....

65535 error on your controller is a badcontroller. You can't clear the error with vag-com due to liability issues. You have three basic choices.

1) New controller from the dealer. 700 bucks, I think.
2) Used controller. 100-400 bucks, depending on who you buy it from.
3) Send thecontroller to one of the ebay controller repair persons. Never done it, so who knows what the results are.

The question is, what is your safety and the safety of your passengers worth to you.

Its probably likely the airbag iginiter warning and anything else is probably false since the module seems bad. It would be pretty coincidental for them both to be there at the same time, step 1 is probably the control module.

Either one of thefaults has to cause the airbag light to go on. Have you ever checked the codes since you got the car?
