Default '81 Audi 4000 5+5

Hello everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any place I could get a estimate as to how much a 1981 Audi 4000 5+5 is? I've recently come across a slightly crunched but running vehicle and want to know if it's worth fixing. I know they're somewhat rare but I want to know if it will be worth putting out the thousands of dollars it'll take to unfold the wheel well and replace the light and grille. I'm a bit short on cash so if anyone wants to pitch in feel free. Just let me know.

If you're asking how much the car is worth...

I checked my Edmunds.
Since you didn't give mileage, I used 100K miles, "rough" condition (some repairs needed) and no optional equipment.

It should sell between $500 and $650 with the above stats.

Hope this helps.

Lol. Thanks. I wish the mileage was 100k. Try 341k. It's a really old, well used car. I'm amazed it still runs actually. Once I beat the fender out of the tire I'm going to take it to a body shop to see what they estimate the repairs to be. I just need the wheel well unfolded and the hood flattened. I can do the painting myself.

WOW!!
341K miles????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take off $50 for every additional 100K. So, $400 - $550.

If you decide to buy, keep us posted on its progress - pics if you can.

Haha. Buy? No my dear. The car is mine. I got into an accident with it on Monday and I have every intention of rebuilding it. I just have to be able to afford it first. Once I get my digital camera up and running (I'm waiting on a new computer which should be coming sometime within the next month if my family keeps their word) I'll have pictures of my precious little car. My ultimate goal is to have the car in such wonderful condition that I never have to buy another car in my life. :P We'll see if that really happens but I'd be glad to keep everyone posted if you like. I can get before pictures, accident pictures, and pictures once I get it fixed if you like. The car has been in my family for almost 15 years now.

the first two are when I got the car, just a few days after it came to be mine. the next two are what it looks like now, after the accident. the last one is the fold in the wheel well. my mom is trying to convince me to get rid of it but it hasn't worked yet. the pictures are crappy but you get the idea

Default I got an IDEA!!!

Wow... that wheel well is major!

What part of Jersey are you located? Maybe we can organize a resurrection committee for the poor thing. We can make it a "Bang-It-Out Fix-It-Up" GTG!!! Everybody brings a mallet and we make it a day of refabbing the bodywork!

I dunno... just a thought.

Sounds awesome to me. I'd love to get it fixed and whatnot. I do want to put some steel behind the fold though so the structure isn't compromised too much. I'm in South Jersey. Anyone one that wants a hit let me know. There's plenty to go around and plenty more pictures to look at. Unfortunately I can't do anything to it until the insurance freaks come look at it so our little "BIOFIU" GTG won't happen for a little bit

Awwww damn! You're in South Jersey? So am I! Too bad I'm so close. If I was further away, then I'd be glad to help!

Seriously... Let us know... we can see about putting this thing together for you - maybe in July?
BTW: These other pics show that you (we) have your (our) work cut out for you (us).
