4th gear acceleration vibrations
Oi,
I've been experiencing vibration when accelerating hard at 110km/h -> 140km/h at 4th gear. I can feel a bit of it in third at above 100km/h (60mph) speeds. But not as much, feels like unbalanced tires but it stops when I let go of gas or press clutch. I'm a sissy so I didnt try same rpm at 5th, need to keep my license :P
I've got new 17" rims/tires a month ago or so, should be balanced. My damper bushings have been bad a while.. Friend thinks it might be engine/gearbox bushings? Any ideas?
Thanks

Agreed, and double-check that your wheels are torqued to the correct spec and evenly on all lugs. If they're off some, it can induce a vibration. The more they're off from spec, the lower the speed that you'll feel it. If I were you, I'd break the lugs loose just a bit and then retorque the wheels with a good, ratcheting torque wrench set at 90 ft-lbs, and use the "skip-one" method to torque them. It may help, it may not, but for the few minutes it takes, it's worth it.
