Hi, I have a 2010 Audi A3 1.8 auto cabriolet and yesterday when parking an ESP fault came up on the dash and the car wouldn't crank at all. Could not move the transmission selector from park even. After a minute or so it "corrected" it's self and was fine all day stopping and starting. However I parked up later in the evening and 2 hours later tried to drive again and the same thing happened. RAC plugged in and a fault code of U0101 came up. I had a Saab 93 a few years back and this happened quite a lot when the weather was hot but when it cooled down again it was fine (after leaving bonnet open for 10 mins or so) so my question is, does anyone have any knowledge of this being a potential problem with the A3 or does it look like I'll need a new TCU?
