2003 A6 Quattro 2.7t headache.
Hello I am having a problem with my Audi A6 quattro. The car is a 2003 Audi A6 quattro 2.7t. it has 79,000 miles. There are no codes stored in the ecm. I drove this car into the garage with a nice cloud of smoke due to blown turbochargers. By blown I mean completely wasted impeller wheel and oil pouring into the down pipes on both sides. I removed the engine and transmission together in-order to access and replace the turbochargers. Everything went very smooth. In-fact it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. After assembling most of the car (haven't installed headlights or bumper yet) I tried to start it. Cranks and cranks, no fuel and no spark. So I started searching for a bad connection or maybe a connector I missed during re-installation. I have come up with nothing. I do not have a vag-com however I can connect via global obdII. I see no crank signal as I'm cranking. Now, I also want to add that the EPC light says on. I have been pulling my hair out because what seemed like a straight forward job has become a no start nightmare. I want to believe that something stupid like an immobilizer was triggered when the batter was disconnected and/or the ecm unplugged. I just need a point in some sort of direction because I am all out of ideas at this time. Any help / ideas are greatly appreciated.
