Hi guys i have a 2002 audi A6 it doesn't want to start i parked well the previous night the next morning when i try to start it nothing happens. The ignition turns on but the starter doesn't do anything when i try to crank it. So your help would be highly appreciated,

 

Probably a dead or weak battery. I'd take it out and have it load tested at Advance Auto/Pep Boys/Autozone. How old is the battery? Any more than 6 years is getting old.

 

I am not sure how old the battery is cos I bought the car from a friend I'll Usk him. So by the way the cause is definitely a battery in this case? cause according to the car gage is about 12.50

 

Seems you have a dead battery..

 

The battery is for sure.. Maybe you need to change it

 

It may not be "dead" but weak. I've had batteries read 12 volts on meter but if you put a load on them, they'd drop to 5-6volts. Can't drive all the electronics and the starter at the same time with a battery that cannot put out the juice. This can happen on batteries that aren't that old. Having it load tested will definitely tell you what kind of shape it's in.

 

hi i bought a new battery but i am still getting the similar results when i attempt a start with the headlights on, they turn all the way off. so the fear of a dead battery is gone now is more of something. so any further advice please.
