Default 03 A4 Cup Dash Cupholder/coin tray removal

I am going to do a pretty extensive stereo install, and I need all the room in the dash as possible. I removed the stereo, but above the stereo is the cupholder/coin tray, and above that is a pretty decorative cover thing. I need to remove all that. anyone know how to do that??

If you look at the two tabs above the card/cupholder, push down on them and pull it outwards, same for all the switches next to the cupholder.

That pic looks different than my car. My air vents are round, and the top piece that you need that special tool to get at... Mine is flat, not angled like that. I just want to be sure its the same procedure.

Oh its the same procedure for pretty much any A4, as for the special too you can use whatever you like, best to use a hook or angled pick to make sure you don't damage the dash.
Un-less you have a cabrio A4 (convertible) which has a storage compartment over the radio....
Then you would need to open the compartment and pull down both the clips on the top of the compartment and pull it straight out. If you have the style that does not open you will probably have to break the thing out if you can't get a pick tool on the clips.
