Hey
What is Vag-Com? If you are talking about a ScanTool, I did check it and it gave me a CamShaft Circuit problemcode....
I could get the ECU from a 2000 A4 1,8T ATW for very cheap. Is that ECU compatible with the 01 A4 1,8 T Quattro my buddy has?

Scan tools suck for Audi, they don't give you the exact problem. My car had a N75 problem, & the code was for a MAF. Anyway, if you have a cam position sensor problem, the car will not start.

Camsensor is replaced, same problem....
but guess what I found out... my buddy said his Car is a 2001 but the production Date on his vehicle is February 2000....the engine I bought is for a 2001. Could that be the problem?

Hey, I just rechecked the the ECU with a Scanner and these are the Cides that came up
P0341 Camshaft Sensor A Ckt
P0112 IAT Sensor
What do those codes really mean, any help is greatly appreciated!

I was thinking about the Timing, but the Car is supposed to Crank at least.... it's not cranking AT ALL.... it only cranks when I boost-start the Car by connecting those 2 Connectors on the Starter....
Guys I'm lost...

AFAIK the 2001 models don't have an immobilizer. Does your instrument cluster have a light that shows a car with a key over it, when you turn on the ignition? This is the immobilizer light. It flashes if the immobilizer is blocking engine start. It would also throw a diagnostic code which you'd see in your VAG scan.
Your cranking issue is either the ignition switch or the wiring to the starter. Recheck those connections. The engine running (or not running) could be related to the camshaft code you're getting.

Hey!
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah as I said earlier, this Car infact in not a 2001 as my buddy told me, its a 2000 A4 T Quattro Manual!
I just repgrammed the Key and the Car locks and unlock with the remote, but it doesnt start! I am going to replace the Ignition switch I guess :/ The car was starting perfectly before the engine blew and I can't imagin having a Ignition Wiring or Switch problem after replacing the Engine
