Maybe the turtle wax was a low cut? the 3M is used was "fine cut". You may want to try using fine cut to get that shine back. Mine came out SUPER shiny after. Is it possible that the dulling isn't from a "haze" left behind from the compound?

Jesus Christ, can we get the vulture vendors outta here. These ******** make it a chore to read the threads. Hint to tomFS08 and fastvwaudiparts01 - if you want to sell stuff, USE THE F*CKING CLASSIFIEDS. By constipating the threads in here, you have made it aggravating to read. For one, I can guarantee you won't see a dime of my money for your products simply because of whoring your products where they're not supposed to be. Learn to post correctly.

yea, best bet is to just pick up some 15lb+ fishing line and some Goo Be Gone or Resolve or 3M or some other adhesive remover to use for after you've removed the badges. I used a blow dryer to heat the adhesive (be careful not to heat too much), fishing line, and a lot of time and effort to get mine off my A8 and the badges off my friend's Jetta. Good luck and be patient.

I debadged my 05 A4 and it looks real nice. I used hairdryer and my fingers, and then goo gone for the residue. I buffed it with Meguiars Scratch X and that worked like a charm, and then I put a nice coat of wax and the whole truck. Looks amazing.

I de-badged my S4 last weekend. I used a heat gun, and fishing line. To get the crappy glue off W/O messing the paint job USE 3M Rubbing Compound!!!!!! I wouldn't use Goo Be Gone, these alcohol based products are known for taking off the clear coat. Let me tell you, grab two beers after you get the badges off, you will be there for a while getting that sh*t off. It took me like 45 minutes to get mine super clean. Remember to rub in circles (Not super important, but it's the best practice). Late response but hey; better late than never. Maybe you procrastinated a bit mM?

Maybe some people like to tone down the theme of the car. I don't want giant letters all over my car.

X 1,000,000!
I debadged my car about a year ago, and have been rebadgeing with some older/vintage audi badges that I refurbished. And the turbo Volvo badge on the front.
