Default radar detectors??

Just a random thought, what radar detectors do you guys use or reccomend? the guy i bought my car from had a radar detector hardwired so i have a cord hanging on my dash, might as well use it and buy a detector etc. I normally dont use one and hte them but the cords there so why not. plus i just got pulled over a week ago in my mustang for speeding in my neighborhood, damn ticky cops pulled me over 2 houses before i was home lol. so what kind do you use or prefer/reccomend? thanks everyone.

Cheapest best bang for buck deffinatley the Valentine. However if you want the top dog i would probably reccommend the....Beltronics RX-75 or RX-75 Plus. which are hardwired and is placed on both the forn and rear of vehicle. Blocks and guards to just about anything.
http://www.beltronicspro.com/rx75.html check it out...

well i have a Escort 8500 x50.. got good deal on it 200 i love best buy discount! i was gonna go for valentine but for half the price they are 399 and equal performence minus the arrows which i heard are cool i had to get the escort. It works great but when it comes to laser no detector will help you its how i got a ticket now im saving up for a blinder m-20 laser jammer!!

i have an escort 8500, red led's, match's the car prety good, you don't even notice that it is hanging off the window close to the dash half the time, I just goes off when there's a cop.... Laser your f'd no matter what if a cop gets you... The escort passport 8500 has saved me sooooo many times i can't even count.... I drove in a friends car with the Valentine and was going off every 5 sec's it felt like, then i started ignoring the dammm thing and about 5 - 10 mins after i started ignoring it i got pulled over with the damm thing. I don't like the Valentine, 8500 is way better in my opinion.

Yea its apples or oranges. Totaly the only thing is the beltronics VX series has laser blocker and jammer. I know one of the cops personaly from town and he said cars with lazer jammer are a pain because when they try to get you it says some obscure number like 0 or 278 mph or something so it makes it unaccurate. However that also give him a hint that you might have a lazer blocker which is illegal in some states. But hey.... $50 illegal equipment ticket is better than a 90 in a 45mph work zone.

But yea if you want the quick fix, i recommend a hgiher priced dash mount radar deff. Dont cheap out and get the $50 special at bestbuy. Get somehting with radar detect, VG-2 immunity and POP detection. AT MINIMUM.

I chose the Belltronics RX-65 because I could move it around from car to car. Nice rebate if you turn in another radar unit. I paid under $265 after the credit.
So far its paid for itself just on the laser function, I travel the length of Wisconsin I94 alot and the last time I was laser'd 3 times in two miles...damn thing worked nice!!
