MMI Contact Syncing with iPhone Problem
Hi All,
I'm hoping one of you knowledgeable people might be able to help with a problem I am having syncing contacts from my iPhone.
I picked up my 2016 A5 Coupe yesterday. I previously had a 2015 A3 as a company car, so I am familiar with that generation of the Audi MMI and the Bluetooth connectivity. I have paired my iPhone with the MMI and I can see recent lists and make calls etc. However, I have noticed that the MMI is importing all of the contacts on my iPhone, even those for whom I only have email addresses for and no phone number. The MMI is loading 2000 contacts (the maximum capacity for one phone I believe) but then the majority are listed as blank in the directory in the MMI, and it runs out of space before it has imported all of the genuine telephone contacts. I use the Microsoft Outlook App on my iPhone XR (iOS 13). to manage my contacts. Outlook automatically captures the email address of anyone that has emailed previously and stores it as a contact, which is why I think I have so many contacts without phone numbers.
I wondered if anybody had come across this before and had found a way to overcome it?
Thanks in advance
