Default LED Tail light issue ('01 A4 B5)

Hello,

I recently purchased a set of 'In Pro' tail lights for my 2001 A4 and I'm having a small issue with them. They installed fine, but I wasn't completely sure which wires the resistors were supposed to splice to fix the bulb out warnings. I was hoping somebody had some experience with these particular tail lights as I could not find any instructions (and of course they didn't come with any when I bought them) or information about the wiring on them.

Basically the tail lights have 3 wires coming out of the main tail light/brake light section which I'm assuming is ground, power for the tail lights, then another power for when you press the brake. When I first installed them, they threw the expected "Brake light" and the flashing symbol indicating my tail lights were out. I installed the resistors into the 3 above mentioned wires and got the tail light error symbol to go away. However the "Brake light" message will not go away.

I tried splicing the resistors again to make sure they got a good connection and trying it with them removed (which brought back the tail light error symbol) but I'm at a loss as to how to get rid of the "brake light" message. The lights all function perfectly, but the message is always on (in the upper section of the dash indicator where the "OK" message appears). There are no other errors, it doesn't flash or show me any symbols.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
-Brenden
