Head Unit Issues
I wanted to change out the stock headunit in my 98 A4, and i wanted to get one with a touch screen-question is, will i be able to install something like http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...t+TID-436.html << that into my dash fairly easily without screwin anything up or covering anything?
(Not much installation exp at all )

Its sort of an odd shape at the bottom. The audi opening isn't quite the right size to fit double DIN flush. There are several compatible trim panels that will fit quite nicely though. You will probably want to look at a wiring harness adapter as well. It will allow you to use your preexisting wiring to hook up your new head unit.
*note: I'm not much of an expert either. good luck. let us know how it works out.

Yea i know that's why i was posting this haha..it says the receiver size is a "single DIN slot with a larger face" so i'm not sure if that means that just the front faceplate is bigger or if the whole headunit itself is bigger so that it won't fit into my dash :/ wiring harness for sure Beau..i've never taken apart my dash before though, does anyone know where I can see how to do that?
(Def postin' before/after pics for this if it works out)

I have the concert stereo currently, which makes it a later model 98 i suppose? I called the guys at sonicelectronix.com and they said it's a single din mount but, like the descrip says, a larger faceplate, which could possibly not fit properly into the dash..they said i could order it, try it out, and if it doesn't fit send it back or exchange it for a reg single DIN head unit...i was gonna do some measurements with a ruler on my dash and see what exactly the dimensions are
