Default Connectivity problem? Iphone 4 doesn't play Pandora through AMI cable on 2012 S4

Hi all,

Just picked up a nice CPO 2012 S4 with Prestige, titanium, etc.

The AMI Cable that came with the car ( Part No. 4F0 051 510K with a build date of 08.03.11)recognizes my iphone 4 when i plug it in but when I hit the Pandora button on the phone to play, the work 'loading...' appears on the NAV/AMI screen. Nothing more ever happens. No music. Nothing. I waited for several minutes before giving up and just plugged in my A2DP Bluetooth receiver into the AMI port and played music through that.

Is the 'loading' some kind of error message or should I have been more patient and waited longer for something to happen with the phone connected directly to the AMI cable?

Thanks.

this is because while the iphone is connected with the ipod/iphone AMI cable it auto starts the ipod(music) app when the media button is pressed. the only way to get around that and use the ipod AMI cable is if you jailbreak and hide the music app.

the second way that can be done is either get an AUX to AMI(3.5mm headphone jack adapter) or blue tooth A2DP AMI adapter.
