Default Can I wire in a kenwood to my premium bose speakers?

I have called several shops and no one can tell me if it can be done. I want to install a kenwood ddx 512 double din into my 04 s4. Will I be able to use my present premium bose speakers, amp and sub? Will i have to rewire the speakers? I understand i need a different harness but thats no problem. Ive been quoted $1100-$300. Help

There are lots of ways to do this and not that expensive. Here is one option...

Thanks for the harness on ebay. But do you still need to rewire the speakers as they have an amp on each one? Also I assume the sub will require a new amp or does that harness allow all the speakers amp and new head unit to work without rewiring? As for the dashkits they are available at autotemp.

hey im an autotech at best buy DO NOT GO WITH EBAY they are cheap crap you can do the kenwood double din you will need an amp integrated wiring harness from installer.com part # 70- 1787 and a line out converter for the factory amp best but carries them, then you can put in the sub amp and everything in th car you need a new amp for the sub and no need to rewire the speakers tho dash kit installer.com part# 99-9102 pm me if you need any info on wiring and wat kind of subs r u doing?

hate to admit it but best buy guy is right (i work at circuit city) metra parts 701787 for harness and dash kit 999102. EXCEPT for what the hell would he need a loc for? as far as i know (and im positive) the 701787 is a amp intergration harness with four rca plugs for the speakers and as far as i know (again i am positive) you just plug the rca's into the respective outputs on the radio. unfortunately, that radio only has two sets (four channels) of rca outputs so in order to hook up your sub amp, you would need two rca splitters.

ok i think i know where your coming from with the loc. i guess it would be easier doing that off the factory amp in the back than running rca's all the way back. my bad man. and you said "best but". funny stuff
