RE: Blaupunkt to Concert radio swap
you only need to make sure it has the right block connector or you can by one from an audio shop, plenty of original stuff on this link

RE: Blaupunkt to Concert radio swap
I belive the block connectors may work, but I'm not sure about the CD connector to the changer. My A6 is wired with the 8 pin plug. What does the Concert use, the 8 or 13 pin? thanks

I have been researching the CD changer harness pinouts for my 96 A6 for some time. The Delta CC head unit CD connector is the same as the Concert I connector but the pinouts are different. Primarily, it's the data/clock lines that vary. The Concert I can be installed and the harness plugs right in. On the other end, in the trunk, the 8-pin DIN female connector will have a different pin configuration than the Delta CC. The stock CD changer will no longer work with the Concert I.
In my case, I have a Phatnoise system that I'm installing. I did a continuity check from the head unit connector to the 8-pin connector in the trunk to determine the pinout. Since the Phatnoise adapter cable has a 13-pin DIN connector for later model audis, I have to construct an 8-pin to 13-pin adapter. In the second link above, the author simply cut off the connectors and soldered the wires together. I'd rather use the proper plugs so I can move the Phatnoise between my 96 A6 (8-pin)and my 99 A4 (13-pin).
I don't have the pinouts for all of this handy but I'll getthem tonight and post here.
Bob.
