2008 A4 AMI Question regarding USB 3.0
Does anyone know if the AMI is completely unable to recognize a USB 3.0 device? I thought it should work ok as long as the device was formatted in FAT32. I have a Seagate FreeAgent (I think) USB 3.0 but my understanding was that USB3.0 was backwards compatible. Has anyone else had any difficulty?
Other notes:
I used the DiskWizard software from Seagate to formate the drive and I thought I did it correct, but some command line formatting may be in order. The drive does register as FAT32 in MyComputer though. It is the 500GB version, dont know it that matters or not. Thanks for any help!

Well, I do not know much about the vehicle here but I can say USB 3.0 is backward's compatible.
Therefor if the system cant recognize USB 3.0 it will automatically default to USB 2.0.
There might be a size/format issue... Or it not having proper/ any voltage! (Most Seagate Mobile hard drives I've saw require a wall adapter. 12volt's DC.)
