Water marks
I got hit with a sprinkler overnight, and it left residue when it dried. Washing doesn't take these off. ScratchX doesn't take these off. With my thumbnail I can scrape it off headlight, but it's all over the front of the car and the hood. Any ideas on how to get this off?

Washing the car should take it off but its not like you can just go over it and be done you may have to do the thick spots 3-4 times. I have to do it about once a week because of tree sap. Although with the sap I have found that the cold rain water seems to take it right off and yet the hose water will not. I find that odd. Then again I am curious if your lights fog up ever... if so then the spots are behind it and scrubbing will NEVER take it off.

As the first answer was the best, after you clean the windshield, (and all the windows) wax then with car wax. This will help stop the spotting in the future. I wax mine every time I wax my car. It also helps stop the rubbing noise of the wipers.

Well, I just washed, clayed, polished, and waxed, to no avail. So I guess it's CLR time. :/ If this was just on the glass, I wouldn't be worried about it and just scrape it off, but it's on the paint, too.
