Default Bug remover

I was talking with a detailer I know who said that a fabric softener sheet is the best thing to remove dead bugs stuck to your car. Haven't tried it yet, but I figured I'd share. It's love bug season in Fl. Pretty nasty.

Was that a suggestion for the windshield only or body too? Maybe I just buy cheap dryer sheets but mine would definitely be too abrasive for bug removal from the paint.

It's bug season up here in the North too and nothing burns me up more than a fresh wash job and a big bug splat 5 minutes down the road on an evening road trip.

I need a bug removal solution so I'm hoping for more suggestions. Thanks for starting the thread.
