Parktown Imports, St. louis, MO
Ok just took it in for an issue with the AC, i brought the car from them and DID NOT like the sales customer service i received at all, very bad...BUT i just brought the car with 33XXXX on it about a month ago and there is an issue with the ECON button staying on, and not giving cold AC, i can't believe that there would be an issue already, i mean its certified(so they say), i only took it back to them to give there service a shot, never want to buy i car from them EVER but wanted to see about the service, anyone have any experience with them or can let me know what good Audi service there is in St Louis? I can't believe its certified and has an issue with the AC already, what i fear is they will say its NOT under warranty and i have to fork out more money on the car I just brought....

Wow this is an old thread, but I came across this researching somehting online. We(Parktowns then managment and I) have since moved on to another dealership. In spite of this, parktown is still the best place to purchase or service an audi or Porsche in St. Louis. I still service my personal cars with them despite more economical options. I sold this gentleman and his wife(who is a self claimed family member of STL largest dealer group) their A6, based on his signature, I know exactly who he is. He had a very specific car he was looking for(dark colored/beige s-line a6) that we located and purchased for him. We made an unreasonably low profit on the vehicle because he could not afford to pay a fair market value. There only became an issue when they refused to pay monies owed per our agreement. I threatened to hold their title until we were paid. It was a situation were the small amount of money in dispute obviously meant a lot to the customer so we let it pass. Obviously he didn't follow up on this post, but his AC is absolutly covered by the audi CPO program.

Saponetta- intresting you pulled up this old thread. I had originally responded to SLINEA6 when this came up 'cause I also bought an A6 from Parktown, a little bit after he did. I was curious what he thought about them, since I didn't know what to expect. So far I've stuck with them, even through the most recent changes in management, and don't really have any complaints. I have checked out the other two area dealers (you know who they are) and heard some interesting stories about past personnel at Parktown from some other former employees. Just curious if you were there at Parktown when I bought (August 2007) and/or if you have any feedback on the dealership you could share, or for that matter any thoughts on the other dealerships as well.

Wow, I also bought an A6 from parktown. Feb. of 2007. I have had great service/customer service there. The only problem is that they are expensive. I work for Bommarito, so I of course recomend them though.

Bobbyo,
Yes I worked there in AUG 07 when you bought yours. I was their used car salesman. They had a second person for maybe a year-05-06 who didn't work out and it went back to just me. I'm a manager at another dealership now. The GM and used car manager at that time now run Tri Star. Either place is a fine dealership to service with. My whole point of bringing this thread back was that the person complaining went back on a written agreement. In his perspective, he had a bad experience. This was only because he and his wife are cheap lowlifes. As usual, Parktown went above and beyond at Dealer expense. They bought a used audi when they could only afford a new hyundai.

I stumbled upon this thread and feel compelled to add to the commentary...
My wife and I have been purchasing / leasing and servicing Audi's from Parktown (on our 5th) since 2004. Prior to that, I had service conducted on two Audi's. The bottom line is that in my 20+ years of car ownership, I have yet to work with a better dealership. While I have no deep-rooted relationships with previous or current management, sales or service personnel (I do know most all of them), all have consistently treated my wife and I fairly and have often gone above and beyond to satisfy us.
Commentary such as that which started this thread stands out as a case of an individual that doesn't take time to reflect on their responsibility in common matters, choosing instead to adopt a victim mentality. Even the non-specific language and description of tha matter is indicative of their attempt to evade repsonsibility.
That said, I don't think the salesman that responded should have stooped to the same level in calling the individual and his wife "cheap low-life's."

Well, my last visit there was my last. Screw their service department. The tech I watched work on my car, probably spent 25-30 min doing work. The reast of the hour I paid for was spent talking to other people. Plus I had to listen to a 15 min. talk(lecture?) from the service manager about how cars in other than stock form can cause many issues and make it hard to find problems.
I had an ABS issue for christe sake. And its not like I have warranty, so he can go screw himself.
Saponetta was my salesman. He worked way harder to find me a car than I ever would have expected a salesman to do. HE gave me excelent customer service. As did the finance guy.
But the rest of them are kinda screwy. Tried to rip my Mom off when she was thinking about trading her GLI in... Dont really know their stuff anyways. 2 ex's, Had absolutely no clue what a B5 RS4 was, and thought her MKV GLI was a 5 cylinder..
And DSTAGS, I work at a boat dealership currently, at a car dealership previously. If you dont think the employees at the places you go dont poke fun, and hate on people, your dead wrong. Honestly, my co-workers are *** holes. One cross attitude from a customer, and he/she will forever on get the "Oh great, not this *****" expression when they need something. Think about that before you get an attitude with someone. You will get NOTHING from it!!
end rant/
