Flemington Audi -- Flemington, NJ
I just got my car back from the dealer. I must say I had a good experience with these people. They treated me respectfully, and not like a 22-year old punk. They were able to diagnose my problem and provide me with an estimate, which they held pretty closely to.
They were always pleasant and helpful on the phone.
I got both upper control arms replaced, 1 wheel bearing replaced, and alignment, for $1129.
I can't say if that's expensive or not, but i didn't feel like they were ripping me off.
anyway, i recommend this dealership.

I've never felt Flemington provided good service ... certainly not worth the $$. Flemington Audi service sucks, so does Flemington BMW. Try Franks Auto Service (www.franksautomotiveservice.com) in Plainfield. They do excellent work at a much more reasonable price.

I got my A4 from Flemington, too. The previous owner wanted out of his lease early and they went through the works to get the car certified before I actually bought it. The salesman I worked with was great imo, resposnive and seemed like a nice guy. I've brought it back for some quick fixes and for the 50k service. I got there early in the morning and was out in a reasonable time. Costs seem ok. I paid ~$90 for my 50k service. I wanted them to pull codes for me but they wanted another $90. It just seemed too high so I didn't do it. I was right.
Overall I can't say it has been all that bad with them.
I went to Bernardsville recently because it's a bit closer. I called them for some parts, one being a 710N and the other being a replacement foglight grille thing. I have the Votex package and repeated it several times. I even mentioned it had a honeycomb plastic mesh look. Of course I went there and they ordered the plain stock part. I have since showed them the piece so let's see if they get it right.
I visited Bell when I was looking for a B6 and was likely going to get one from them if I hadn't found the one I bought. That lot is awfully congested.
I will have to try Franks. My local garage is F&M Tire b/c they are on my block and have continued to work out nice. They pulled the engine codes for me within 20 minutes on a random stop-in. They were much cheaper than the dealership as well.
Nice to know a fellow owner is around the Plainfield area...see you on 22.

Wow..Awesome Mechanics...!
But still it doesn't seem to be beneficial for spending $1000-$1500, for some normal technical faults...
As the best way to take care of such cars is to avoid the rouse of the engines as well as maintain them at regularly....
Still, until and unless there are Company faults, they should consult directly to the Service Centers, but avoid making such high-scaled payments...
And from next time, need to be careful as well as conscious about the use of this kinda ultimate mechanisms..!
