RE: DEALERS TO AVOID FOR IL PEOPLE!!!
I can attest to the others warning about LM. I bought a 2000 A6 2.7T not even two months ago from the Orland Park location and the turbo went out last week! To top it off, the turbo isn't covered by the expensive warranty I bought! I'm in the process now of negotiating the next step with them now. They have offered to repair the car for just the cost of parts, but I'm not too confident about their repair work. If they guarantee the work for a decent amount of time I might do it, otherwise I'll probably trade it in.
I initially took the car to Audi of Tinley Park to have it fixed. That's when I found out the warranty wouldn't cover it. Audi of Tinley offered to take the car as a trade for the value minus the repair cost (approx. 7k), but when it came time to do the deal they balked. They would never give us an actual dollar amount for the trade so we shipped the car down the street to LM.
The sad part is this isn't the first car I bought from LM. I bought an Infiniti from the LM back in August from the Downers Grove location and it was the smoothest transaction I've ever had when buying a car. As I pulled up to the dealer they were pulling the car out to show it to me. They gave me exactly what I wanted for my trade and the financing was simple. They even served us wine! The people in Orland Park are crooks, but I think they are afraid of the wife, which is why they at least appear to be working with us. If we allow them to fix it it'll cost about $3600, but if they work is only covered for 90 days, what good is that?!
